Southcity Christian School is a State Integrated School. The land and buildings occupied by the school are not owned by the government/Ministry of Education, but by the Southcity Educational Charitable Trust – The Proprietors of Southcity Christian School.
The Proprietors are a Charitable Trust, charged with the protection of the Special Character of the school. They also develop the land and provide new buildings.
The Proprietors have the right to charge Attendance Dues, for your child’s place at the school. Attendance Dues are a compulsory charge that all parents must pay each year. Money for Attendance Dues is paid to the Proprietors (not to the school Board of Trustees) and can only be used to cover the costs of property and buildings.
Non-payment of Attendance Dues may result in the removal of a child from the school.
Attendance Dues for 2023 are set at $900+ GST per child/per year
This is $258.70 including GST per child/per term.
Every 4th or additional child from the same family is free, when all children are attending Southcity at the same time.
Payments can be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly by automatic payments, however the minimum weekly payment must be $26 or more.
Cash or Eftpos (not Credit Card) is acceptable but automatic payments are preferred.
Accounts will be sent out at the beginning of each term with payments due by the end of each term.
Please ensure all children’s gear is clearly named. A lost property box is kept.
Should an area of concern arise, you are encouraged first of all to take this matter to the person concerned.
If however this fails to bring a solution, you may bring the matter to the Principal, or if appropriate, to the School Board.
Matters of a more serious nature may be brought immediately to the Principal.
