Welcome to Room 7!
I ask the Father in his great glory to give you the power to be strong in spirit. He will give you that strength through his Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love. I pray that you can understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is.
Ephesians 3:16-19 ICB
As we discuss responsibility this week at school, please encourage your child to be responsible at home! Here are some ideas of ways your child can help out at home :)
Term 2 2025
Bible
We are beginning our Biblical Worldview program where we will look to answer some important questions about God and what we truly believe as Christians. In Devotions, we are looking at character qualities God calls us to exemplify. We will also be studying our call to steward God's creation during our topic time.
Maths
We are starting work in our Prime books. This includes learning about number bonds, place value, and simple mathematical operations. This term will we be looking at addition and subtraction with regrouping. We will also begin to look at multiplication and division. Geometric knowledge will be covered as well.
Reading
Our reading program follows the Better Start Literacy Approach. This approach focuses on letter sounds and parts of words. We continue to develop our fluency while reading and strengthen our comprehension of what we read.
Writing
We are working on refining our writing to make it appropriate for the audience and purpose we are writing for. This means we are working on expanding our thoughts, choosing interesting vocabulary, and revising our work. This term we will focus on writing to inform, meaning will we be crafting some reports and other nonfiction texts.
Topic
Our topic focus is Flourishing Environment this term. We will be studying living things, their habitats, and how we can take care of God's creation.
